Weather Vane Brackets, Mounts & Parts
Good to know before you buy
Every weather vane comes with a bracket, but not every building suits it. Here you’ll find wall brackets, roof mounts, post brackets and garden poles, plus the spare parts that keep an older weather vane turning.
Walls and eaves
A 125mm eave bracket comes with Cottage and Farmhouse weather vanes, and there’s a stainless steel version for Farmhouse. To clear deep eaves or gutters, the 300mm bracket holds a Farmhouse weather vane further out.
Roofs
Adjustable aluminium roof ridge mounts fit a pitched roof, in a large size for Farmhouse and a smaller one for Cottage. For the peak of a hip roof, the four-sided steel mount takes a Farmhouse weather vane.
Posts and gardens
Post brackets fix a weather vane to the top of a post, cupola or other flat surface, in sizes for Farmhouse, Cottage and Traditional. Steel garden poles stand a Cottage or Farmhouse weather vane in a lawn, border or paddock. We suggest concreting them in.
Spare parts
Replacement cast brass and verdigris-finish compass points, copper spacer balls, brass set rings, stems and 11-inch extension rods for Farmhouse weather vanes, including Good Directions weather vanes bought elsewhere.
Which fits mine?
Each fitting is made for one range, because the stems are different sizes: 10mm for Cottage and Traditional, and 18 to 19mm for Farmhouse. Each product page says which range it fits. Oakley weather vanes come with their own universal bracket.
